Interactive Story for Chemotherapy Patients
Chemotherapy patients often forget to take their medication and hydrate themselves properly after treatment. E2i’s goal is to create an interactive story to highlight the importance of taking care of themselves and making better self-care decisions at home. The game will allow them to practice at-home symptom management with a character and real-life scenarios to visualize both good and bad outcomes based on their self-management choices. Funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), E2i is working with Victoria Loerzel, associate professor at the UCF College of Nursing to create the mobile game to be used in clinical trials.
